Hello everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break and happy spring semester to all! Yesterday John reminded me a little keyboard trick to restart both Mac and PC computers. It saves so much time an mouse clicks, especially when you are restarting all the computers down here in the Center. Anyways, for Mac computers, an easy way to restart the computer is the keyboard combination Control + Command + the Eject button. After you do the combination the computer should automatically restart unless other windows are open. For PC computers, the keyboard combination ALT + F4 will close all windows. This is especially helpful is someone leaves a zillion windows open on the computer. Bonus, if there are no windows actually open on the computer, then a pop-up will open to ask you to restart the computer and you can just press Enter.
Best,
Shannon
I never knew about this! Thanks for the tip.
