Facebook Photos Never Really Go Away

Privacy on Facebook has been a talked-about issue since its conception. Tech-news website Ars Technica recently did a report on how Facebook servers still have photos on their content delivery networks that users thought were deleted. In its investigation, Ars discovered that photos that were deleted from main user pages were still accessible as long as someone had the direct link to the .jpeg file. A spokesperson for Facebook claims that the company is in the process of updating its system to finally solve this issue. With Facebook using all the user info it can to sell to advertisers, this comes as not much of a surprise. But hopefully the site going public will be enough incentive to get rid of deleted photos quicker once and for all.
