Problems with Garage Band? Try Audacity!

The other day a student was having trouble transferring mp3 files into Garage Band. After everything we tried failed, the files were successfully transferred into Audacity where they could be edited with no trouble. The possible problem was that the student downloaded the files first on a PC, then uploaded them to a Mac with a hard drive. Garage Band didn't like this. So, if this happens to you try using Audacity instead of Garage Band before switching computers!
